Deming and Skagit speedway. Both clay banked tracks. Deming just short of a quarter mile & Skagit just short of a 1/3 mile.
Fliers are in the mail today! $6000 purse for the weekend.
Limited classes so read the flier!

Senior citizen mistake! The dates are actually 9/5 and 9/6. That is Friday and Saturday night next week. Sorry for the confusion.

No offense intended, but that sounds silly. I can only recall seeing 3 or 4 mini-quads (85cc-110cc) at most of the northwest flat track event this year. And it has been dominated by 1 rider. The mini-cycles (85cc) on the other hand has 3 or 4 riders battling for the front position and 3 or 4 riders not too far behind them in their own battle. It is like having 2 races in 1. And as I recall the front 3 or 4 are running lap times that are really close to what the 250 & 450 classes run. The mini-cycle or 85cc bikes would certainly put on a very interesting show though the mini-quads are fun to watch. Better yet, have mini-quad and mini cycle classes to help showcase our up and coming racers. It would only add a few more minutes to the nights racing.

Agree that we should showcase the kids as well as give them the opportunity to ride at different tracks.
At these two tracks we have severe time restictions. (Must be done by 10 PM) This is the fourth year for Skagit and their primary sponsor is Skagit Powersports. They did their research and came up with the classes that have historically provided the most riders in a condensed program. (Kind of like Castle Rocks National with only 3 classes)
Trust that if the mini class becomes what it was in the '90's with participation, it would be added in the future.
Sincerely,
Vince

It will be interesting to see the turnout for the mini-quads. Next year it would be great to include the 85cc bikes as well as the 250cc bikes. See ya at the races!
