  • Camping at the nationals

Camping will be $15.00 per night in assigned areas. We were talking about a 2-day camping pass, but the parking people said that they were "taken advantage" of last year, so no 2 day permits.

The parking people will come around and charge each day for your camping. Hope this clears this up. Don't camp until you reach the sign on the entry road...no camping in parking area.

The Mt. St. Helen's Motorcycle Club was organized September 6, 1957 and incorporated as a non-profit organization January 2, 1958. The members decided to go under the name of Twin City Tigers but later changed the name to Mt. St. Helen's Motorcycle Club. When the club formed, only a few of its members had ever participated in a race and many were just becoming introduced to the sport. The first organized activity was cross-country runs and hill climbs held at Crystal Pool.

Most of the members had no idea at the time, what a good scrambles track should look like or how to put on a race. Nevertheless, on July 27, 1958, the club held its first sanctioned scrambles race on the new Castle Rock Fairgrounds. The grandstands were built and the oval track was laid out but there weren't any fences and the first race was ran on a course staked out on the day of the race.

Besides holding races, the club organized other forms of activities. At the beginning of each racing season they would have a club banquet and trophies would be presented to outstanding members. Several dances were held for club members including a beatnik dance in 1962. Play days, field meets and cross-country runs were a popular activity enjoyed by most of the members and their famili

In 1980 Mt St Helens erupted and wiped out the old track. But out of the ash came a stronger group of people dedicated to the sport of Flat tracking. With little money and a great determination, this group of hearty souls rebuilt the current track and facilities. A lot of hours, donated equipment, and lots of beer brought about what is currently the Castle Rock Rack Park.

Take Exit 48 or Exit 49 off I-5 at Castle Rock. (First exit going North and Second exit going South) Go west into town. Turn on "A" St.  Cross the river and track is on the left at the Fairgroun
